The weather broke cool and clear, a good day to get the management team off the factory floor. Huitian's mid- and senior managers drove out to Yingzhigu, a resort tucked into the hills, for a day built around one line: "Solid work forges craft; read the market, start fresh." Nobody treated it like a checkbox exercise.

The morning opened with "Peak Showdown." Stations ran back to back — keep a ring of poles standing (Unfalling Forest), bounce a ball on a trampoline drum (Drum Ball), roll a ball down a plastic track (Track Ball), untangle arms locked in a circle (Untangle), and clap a beat until the group synced (Passion Beat). None of it was hard alone. All of it was hard together.

After lunch came the frisbee games — Nine-Grid throwing, Weeble balance, the usual. What stuck with people wasn't the scoreboard. It was the moment a pole dropped and the group said "again," not "who messed up." Or the Nine-Grid line where one person threw, another called the wind, a third collected discs — no single hero, just the target.

Closing the day, the leaders spoke in turn, short and straight. The point wasn't finishing the tasks. It was how the team absorbed mistakes, heard each other out when split, and kept going when tired. That, they said, is the Dongyue way — tough, accountable, broad-minded. "Solid work" leaves the retreat with us. It goes back to the floor on Monday.
